Apparat & Ellen Alien: You had me on hello

After Apparat’s recent berlin.montreal.telaviv EP already showed him true to form, the upcoming Apparat/Ellen Alien collaboration Orchestra of Bubbles really blew me away. It’s so damn good, it’s already one of my favorites for 2006. I’d say it sounds more like Apparat than Ellen Alien, but shows Apparat opening up even further and exploring uncharted territories. The album, featuring vocals by both artists, is nicely varied and has a slightly more pop-oriented approach than Apparat’s and Ellen’s own work. All killers, no fillers.
